Why people build a career here
We are based in Vereeniging and support customers across Gauteng and the Free State, with demos and servicing in places like Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Meyerton, Alberton, Germiston, Bloemfontein and Welkom. That means the work is varied. One day you may be helping a fabrication shop with cut quality, the next you may be on a site fault finding a machine after load-shedding or checking an air system for moisture and pressure loss.
People join us because they want steady technical work, proper customer contact and room to learn. We value practical thinking, neat workmanship and clear communication. If you can explain a repair or setup in plain language and keep records in order, you will fit in well.
- Hands on technical work with real machines
- Support for hobby users, small workshops and production sites
- Exposure to handheld and CNC plasma systems
- Training, demonstrations and field service experience
Roles we hire for
We do not only look for one type of person. Our work needs sales support, technical skill, customer care and field service. Some roles are office based in the sense of admin and coordination, others involve workshop work, travel and on site problem solving.
- Sales and customer support for product enquiries, quotations and follow up
- Technical service for torch repairs, power source repairs and preventive maintenance
- Field service for breakdowns, commissioning and operator training
- Training and demos for customers who need help getting the best cut
- Workshop support for consumables checks, spares handling and inspection work
We also need people who understand CNC table servicing, height control calibration and cut quality audits. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you must be willing to learn and work carefully.
What a typical day can include
No two days are the same. A technician may start with a preventative maintenance visit in Vereeniging, then move on to a consumables check in Vanderbijlpark and finish with a breakdown call in Sasolburg. On other days we spend time in Bloemfontein or Welkom for machine commissioning, operator training or a cut quality check on a customer’s setup.
You may work with fabrication shops, automotive repair businesses and smaller production teams that need their equipment to cut cleanly and keep running. Coastal humidity is not a concern here but dust, dirty air lines and poor earthing can be just as hard on machines. Good service work means noticing the small issues before they become expensive stoppages.
- Diagnosing faults on site or in the workshop
- Testing air supply, torch condition and cut settings
- Helping customers with safe operation and routine care
- Recording findings clearly so the next person can follow up
What we look for in applicants
We hire people who are dependable, careful and decent with customers. A technical background helps, whether that comes from electrical work, welding, fitting, mechanical repair or CNC support. If you have worked in a factory, workshop or service environment before, that experience counts.
- Good communication and a professional manner
- Basic fault finding ability and willingness to be trained further
- Ability to travel around Gauteng and the Free State when needed
- Comfort with physical work, tools and workshop safety rules
- Respect for customer property, schedules and site requirements
We also look for people who can work without fuss when the pressure is on. Sometimes a breakdown call arrives during a busy production run or after a power interruption, and the customer needs calm support not guesswork.
How to apply with your CV
If you would like to work with us, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page and note the type of role you are interested in. Tell us about your experience, the towns you can work in and any technical training you have completed. If you have a code 8 or higher licence mention that too, since field work and demos can involve travel.
We keep applications on file and get in touch when a role suits your experience with workshop, fitting or cutting work. Please keep your details current and include a short summary of your hands on experience, even if it is from side work or family business jobs. A neat CV and clear note go a long way.
Working standards on the team
We keep things straightforward: do the job properly, communicate early and leave equipment better than you found it. That applies whether you are repairing a torch, commissioning a CNC table or helping a customer choose spares. We expect neat records, safe handling of tools and respect for deadlines.
Marius van der Merwe leads the business and works with a small team that includes sales, technical support, field service and training. That structure means people often learn across departments, which is useful if you want a career with more than one path. The work can be busy, but it is practical, honest and built around service.
