Terms of use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the PlasmaCutter website operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd for the benefit of PlasmaCutter. By using this site, you agree to comply with these terms and with any applicable South African law.

1. Site Access and Acceptable Use

This website is provided for businesses, workshop managers, contractors, hobbyists and other users seeking information about plasma cutting equipment, servicing and support. You may browse the site for lawful purposes only and must not use it in a way that could damage the site, interfere with access, or place unreasonable strain on our systems.

You agree not to attempt unauthorised access, copy content for resale, introduce malicious code, or use automated means to collect data from the site without prior written consent. If we believe use of the site is unlawful or disruptive, we may suspend or restrict access without notice.

  • Do not misuse enquiry forms or submit false information.
  • Do not interfere with security, scripts or site performance.
  • Do not use the site to make unlawful, defamatory or misleading statements.

2. Information, Product Details and Service Guidance

We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, service information and support details accurate and current. However, content on this site is general information only and may change without notice. Specifications, availability, lead times and service scope can vary depending on the machine, site conditions and parts required.

Any guidance relating to torch repairs, power source repairs, preventative maintenance, consumables checks, CNC table servicing, height control calibration, machine commissioning, operator training, spares supply or cut quality audits is intended to assist you in deciding whether to make an enquiry. Final service recommendations are confirmed only after inspection or consultation by our technical team.

  • Site content does not replace a physical inspection or technical assessment.
  • Advice may differ for handheld units, CNC systems and workshop set-ups.
  • Local conditions such as dust, humidity, power interruptions and air quality may affect performance.

3. Enquiries, Quotes and Service Requests

Enquiries submitted through the contact page are used to respond to your request, assess your needs and arrange follow-up where appropriate. Submission of an enquiry does not create a binding agreement, reserve stock, or confirm a service booking until we have acknowledged it and agreed the next steps.

Quotes issued by PlasmaCutter or on its behalf remain valid only for the period stated on the quote or, if no period is stated, for a reasonable time based on market conditions. Pricing may change due to component availability, transport, labour, commissioning requirements or site-specific work. For on-site breakdowns and field visits across Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Meyerton, Alberton, Germiston, Bloemfontein and Welkom, access arrangements and safety requirements must be confirmed in advance.

4. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

Unless stated otherwise, the text, layout, images, logos, technical wording and other material on this site are owned by or licensed to PlasmaCutter and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own internal reference, but you may not reproduce, republish, adapt or distribute it without prior written permission.

If you submit comments, documents, photos or technical information to us through the site, you confirm that you have the right to share that material and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. We may use such information to respond to your enquiry, provide service support or improve our internal records.

  • Do not remove copyright notices or alter source material.
  • Do not use our content to misrepresent affiliation or support.
  • Do not copy service descriptions for competing commercial use.

5. Liability Limits and Technical Risk

We take care to present information that is useful and accurate, but the website and its contents are provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, PlasmaCutter and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for losses arising from reliance on site content, interruptions to access, or decisions made without proper technical assessment.

Plasma cutting equipment carries operational risk and must be used in line with manufacturer instructions, site rules and all relevant safety standards. Users remain responsible for safe operation, correct power supply, ventilation, compressed air quality, protective equipment and operator training. Where machines are affected by load-shedding, coastal humidity, poor air lines or electrical instability, additional care and maintenance may be required.

6. Privacy, Third-Party Links and Governing Law

When you submit an enquiry, we may collect the details needed to respond, support your request and keep internal records. We handle such information in line with our privacy practices and only use it for legitimate business purposes. The site may also contain links to third-party pages for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability or policies of those external sites.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute relating to the use of this site shall be dealt with in a South African court or other competent forum. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

For questions about these terms, please use the enquiry form on the contact page so the matter can be directed to the appropriate team member, including sales, technical support or field service where relevant.
