Training Booking

Book hands-on operator training for your team so they can cut safely, set up jobs correctly and get better results from the first sheet. Our training suits workshop staff, supervisors and new operators across Vereeniging and nearby areas.

Book the right training for your team

Training is arranged around the machine you are using, the material you cut and the level of experience in your workshop. If you run handheld plasma cutters, CNC tables or both, we match the session to the work you do every day in places like Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg and Meyerton.

We also take into account site conditions such as compressed air quality, power stability during load-shedding, and the type of steel or stainless being cut. That way the session is practical, not general. Your team leaves with clear steps they can follow on the floor the same day.

  • Handheld operator training for workshop use and maintenance staff
  • CNC operator training for table setup, cutting parameters and job handling
  • Refresher training for existing staff who need better cut quality
  • New user training for sites taking delivery of a machine for the first time

What the session covers from start to finish

Each booking focuses on safer operation, cleaner cuts and fewer stops during production. We show your team how to set up the machine, check consumables, inspect air supply and adjust settings for different plate thicknesses. Where needed, we include height control checks and CNC table basics so operators understand how the machine is meant to work under daily use.

The training is practical and paced for the people in the room. We can work with small groups or a full shift team. If your site has had repeated torch wear, poor arc starts or bad edge quality, we go through the causes step by step and show what to check first.

  • Safe start-up and shut-down procedure
  • Consumable fitment, wear checks and replacement timing
  • Correct air pressure and moisture control
  • Cut speed, pierce height and stand-off settings
  • Basic fault finding before a breakdown becomes a stoppage

How to book your training date

To book, use the enquiry form on our contact page and tell us what machine you have, where it is installed and how many operators need training. Please include the town, the type of work you do and whether the session is for handheld equipment, CNC equipment or both. If you have a target date for commissioning or a production changeover, add that too.

Once we receive the enquiry, we confirm the scope and arrange a suitable time. We support customers from our Vereeniging base and travel for demos and training across Gauteng and the Free State, including Alberton, Germiston, Bloemfontein and Welkom. If your workshop runs on shifts we can plan around production, subject to site access and machine availability.

  • Complete the enquiry form with machine details and site location
  • List the number of operators attending
  • Tell us your preferred date and working hours
  • Share any fault history, repeated cut issues or new installation notes

What to prepare before we arrive

Good preparation makes the session more useful and keeps the training focused. If possible, have the machine installed and connected, with the usual consumables, plate samples and air supply ready. For CNC users, have a few actual job files or sample cuts available so we can work on real work pieces instead of theory only.

It also helps to have the operators who will use the machine most often in the room. If your team shares equipment across shifts, send the people who handle start-up, quality checks and basic maintenance. We can then show them the same process your workshop will follow after training, with less guesswork and fewer call-backs.

  • Machine connected and ready for testing
  • Air system available for inspection
  • Common materials on hand for live cutting
  • Operators present who will use the machine day to day

Training for safer work and better cut quality

Plasma cutting is fast, but it still needs discipline. The right training reduces avoidable wear, poor cuts and unsafe habits around heat, fumes and moving parts. In busy metal fabrication and automotive workshops, even small errors can lead to wasted material or downtime. We keep the advice practical and relevant to the conditions South African sites deal with, including power cuts, dust and coastal humidity in some areas.

We also show teams how to spot early signs of trouble, such as inconsistent arc starts, damaged leads, bad air quality or a torch that is starting to drift out of spec. A short session now can save a lot of time later, and it usually gives the operator more confidence with the machine.

  • Safer handling and better operator awareness
  • Fewer rejected parts from poor cut edges
  • Less unnecessary wear on torches and consumables
  • Improved machine confidence for new and existing staff

After training support when you need it

Training does not end when the session is over. If your team later needs help with setup, cut quality checks or machine servicing, we can assist with preventive maintenance, consumables checks, air system inspection, CNC table servicing and height control calibration. For breakdowns, we also handle on site call-outs and machine commissioning work.

Clients in Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Meyerton, Alberton, Germiston, Bloemfontein and Welkom can use the same enquiry process for follow-up support. If a workshop needs a refresher after staff changes or a new installation, we can book that in as well. The aim is simple: keep the machine working, keep the cuts clean and keep the team comfortable with the process.

Questions we get asked

Who should attend the operator training?

The people who run the machine day to day should attend first. That usually includes operators, shift leaders and any staff who handle start-up, consumables or basic checks.

Can you train both handheld and CNC users?

Yes. We book training for handheld plasma cutters, CNC tables or a mix of both, depending on what your workshop uses.

How do I request a training booking?

Use the enquiry form on our contact page and include your site location, machine type, number of operators and preferred date. We will confirm the scope and arrange the booking.
